Reviews for this release

I applaud Microsoft for finally making an effort to address this highly overlooked area of web development, and I encourage them to keep improving it, especially the interface and disk caching parts. Personally, I've found much simpler to use, and it's open-source. It's very extensible, much faster, and more 'solid'. And does a lot more.

Great idea, really cool. One feedback: If its impossible to put String-Object Key-Value-Pairs into parameters (because strings are needed to identify caching-possibilities) then one should be able to "reset" all cached items ("not modified") because data might have changed whilst string-parameters (that e.g. did form a sql-querry) did not. Something in that direction is missing. Thumbs up!!! :-)

Well. ImageParameter definitely misses databinding. Well in case u need to make an image gallery that is something really common databinding will not be supported.

Nice work; although there is an alternative to that in the open source library SharpPieces,; I think it's a little bit much more featured.

I have tried the new Generated Image out through a sample website, and it worked fine. I like the simplicity of generating sized images through the ImageHandler file. I also tried it with the new ListView control and it was very effective in creating a thumnail list. I did try to use the FormView with paging, but this caused errors with the LINQ Single Function.

Cool. Now if only you could integrate decent image quantization, such as octree (for GIF images, because they will look like crap using System.Drawing), I'd be really happy!
